Donald W. Capshaw has more than 35 years of business and real estate litigation experience in state and federal courts, as well as an established banking and commercial transaction practice.
Mr. Capshaw has a diverse practice in that he represents borrowers, lenders, title companies and underwriters, real estate firms and contractors, as well as large and small business owners. Mr. Capshaw is admitted to practice in Texas and Arkansas, as well as the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas and Western District of Arkansas. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Arkansas Law School. He has served as president of the Texarkana Bar Association and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Texarkana Bar Association, the Northeast Texas Bar Association and the Bar Association for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the College for the State Bar of Texas
Mr. Capshaw has spoken at a number of local seminars as well as at one or more continuing legal education courses.
Mr. Capshaw has been active in the Texarkana community serving as: City of Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Directors; Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana, Inc.; Past Vice-President of Community Affairs and Board of Directors for the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce; Executive Board Member for the Caddo Council Boy Scouts of America; Graduate, Leadership Texarkana and Past Curriculum Chairman and Advisory Board Chairman, Leadership Texarkana; member of the Bowie County, Texas Redistricting Committee, and Allocations Chairman and Chairman of the Board for the United Way of Greater Texarkana, Inc.
